Alleman 46, Princeton 33 (Tigers finish 2-2 in the tourney – Jake Reinhardt was named to the All-Tournament Team)
Monmouth-Roseville won the tournament, finishing 4-0 with a 64-50 win over host Orion in the Championship Game

*PHS won the Sophomore tournament with a victory Saturday afternoon in Orion

Princeton Tigers Basketball Begins New Era With Win

m_fredericksThe Princeton Tigers varsity boys basketball team earned a win in the debut of new head coach Michael Fredericks.  The Tigers won their opener at the 10 & 32 Orion Tip-Off Classic on Monday evening, outlasting the Erie Cardinals by a score of 52 to 40.  The Tigers look to go 2-0 on the young season when they play Fulton tonight in Orion.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00.  Airtime on WZOE-AM and wzoe.com is 6:45 with Paul Bomleny and Norm Vandermoon.

Football Seasons End for Princeton and Hall in State Quarterfinals

The last 2 remaining local teams in the IHSA Football Playoffs have had their seasons come to an end with losses on Saturday.  The Princeton Tigers finish 11-1 after falling at home to Elmhurst IC Catholic 37 to 12 in a Class 3A Quarterfinal matchup.  The Hall Red Devils end their season with a 9 and 3 record after losing at home to Annawan-Wethersfield 30 to 21.
