47th Annual Homestead Festival This Weekend In Princeton

The 47th annual Homestead Festival in Princeton this weekend is full of activities. This year’s theme is “Generations Strong”.

Tonight the Homestead Festival announcements will be made, including the baby contest winner. Tonight also features a Down on Main Street Concert by Seven Bridges Road, an Eagles tribute band.
Saturday features the parade, Underground Railroad 5K , window displays, children’s fun fair, an arts and crafts show, a perfmance by the Generics Goodies Band featuring the “Funny Little People”, a pie baking contest, tours of the Owen Lovejoy Homestead and Princeton High School, helicopter rides, a blues concert, bags tournament and a root beer float garden and the band Snap Shot performing in the Jaycees beer garden.
Sunday offers a country breakfast, flea market, car show, barbecue rib cook off, a petting zoo, children’s tractor pull, and a 50/50 raffle drawing. Performances of “Barefoot In The Park” by Neil Simon take place Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon at the Prairie Arts Center.
