Visitation: Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, Illinois.

Services: Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, Illinois with a visitation an hour prior.

Military: Flag presentation by the Princeton American Legion Post 125.

Burial: Cremation rites will be accorded after the service and burial will take place at Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton, Illinois at a later date.

Date/ Place of Birth: Jack was born July 6, 1938 in Princeton, Illinois the son Marion and Ruby (Summers) Roggy.

Marriage: Jack married Myrna Nieman on April 17, 1965 in Churchton, Maryland. She survives in Wyanet.

Survivors: 1 son: David “Dave” Roggy of Princeton, Illinois; one sister, Mary Crawford of Smyrna, Tennessee; 3 nephews, Scott Carlson and family of Harmon, Illinois, Mathew, and Marcus Crawford and families of Smyrna, and one niece, Morgan Crawford and family of Smyrna; and many half nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death: his parents; two brothers: Richard and Thomas Roggy and one sister, Marlene Carlson.

Education: He attended Princeton High School and completed his GED in the United States Air Force.

Military Service: He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and was discharged from Edwards Air Force Base in California.

Employment: Jack was a self employed carpenter for over 40 years.

Memberships/Hobbies: He was an old car enthusiast. His most memorable car was the home made woody, The Cedar Shack.
