Marshall-Putnam Fair Kicks Off Five Day Run

The 97th annual Marshall-Putnam Fair begins its five-day run today at the Route 29 fairgrounds in Henry. The theme of this year’s event is “A Surfin’ A-Fair”. On tap today is harness racing, wine tasting and a kick-off dinner tonight. Tomorrow features an antique and stock tractor pull. On Friday, there’s an antique tractor show all day and a demo derby Friday night. Saturday features a tractor and truck pull. The highlight of Sunday’s wrap-up day at the fair is the big hat rodeo. The Marshall-Putnam Fair features free entrance, free parking and a free entertainment stage. More information is available online at
