(Rock Island, IL) — A new poll shows JB Pritzker with a large lead in the race for Illinois governor. “The Quad City Times” reported yesterday that the latest Illinois Poll gives Pritzker a 16 point lead, 46 percent to 30 percent, over Governor Bruce Rauner. The lead jumps to 76 percent when pollsters asked voters in Chicago and Cook County who they plan to vote for. Voters will decide between Pritzker and Rauner in November.

(Chicago, IL) — Chicago Police say a violent weekend ended with a violent three hours. Police say 11 people were shot, three of them died, in just three hours yesterday. The shootings happened on the city’s south and west sides. Investigators aren’t saying anything about suspects or arrests.

(Eureka, IL) — Deputies in Woodford County are looking for a missing 16-year-old girl. The Woodford County Sheriff’s Department posted on Facebook yesterday that 16-year-old Nicole Keller hasn’t been seen since Friday. Investigators say Keller is about five-feet, three inches tall and about 115 pounds. Deputies say Keller was last seen in the Germantown Hills area.

(Dixon, IL) — The teenager charged in Dixon High School’s school shooting could be on trial by the end of the summer. A judge in Dixon on Friday set Matthew Milby’s trial for August 28th. Though there is only a small chance that the trial will begin then. Police say Milby brought a rifle to Dixon High School on May 16th and fired it. Milby is facing weapons charges.

(Springfield, IL) — Illinois’ new budget will mean some repairs in Springfield. Both the Illinois Capitol and the State Fairgrounds are getting money in the new state budget. Lawmakers earmarked about 30-million dollars for repairs to several buildings at the fairgrounds, including the coliseum, which was closed last year. The budget also includes about 20-million dollars for the Illinois Capitol complex, some of which will replace pipes that contained the bacteria that causes Legionnaires disease.
