Obituary – Norma DeRose

Norma DeRose, age 92, of Princeton, died on Saturday.
She was born on April 3, 1925 in Princeton, to Clyde and Mable (Trimmer) Kitterman.  She attended Princeton High School and married Forrest DeRose at the Hampshire Colony Church in Princeton in 1947.  She was employed by the Bureau County Zoning Office, and was a homemaker.  She was a previous member of the American Legion and Princeton Moose Lodge, a longtime volunteer for the American Red Cross, LaSalle Veterans Home, VFW, and Princeton Closet ReSale Shop.  She was an Election Judge for Bureau County.
She is survived by four children, Howard DeRose of Missouri, Janet Sobkowiak of Peru, Dale DeRose of Princeton, Marilynn Piver of NC., 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her husband in 2007; one son in infancy; four sisters and three brothers.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 6th from 5-7pm at the Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton.
Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, March 7th at 10 am.  Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Princeton.
