Helen W. Swanson, age 94, of Ohio, died on Tuesday at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

She was born September 5, 1923 in Princeton the daughter of Ferris and Gladys (Davis) Paden. She married Guy Sisler, Jr. He died during WWII. She later married Richard Swanson in 1948. He preceded her in 2005. She was a mother and homemaker.

Surviving are one daughter, Barbara DeBruhl of WI; one step daughter, Kathy Head of Monticello; one sister, Betty Bass of Walnut; four grandchildren; two step granddaughters; seven great grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.

She was preceded by both husbands; her parents; two sisters and a son-in-law.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday from 10 – 11:00 AM at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Ohio.

Memorials have been established to the Ohio Fire Department, American Heart Association, Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.
