Obituary – William “Bill” Losey

William H. “Bill” Losey, age 92, of Princeton died on Sunday.

He was born Sept. 12, 1925 to William and Mary Louise (Hubbard) Losey. He graduated from LaMoille High School in 1945 and married Barbara Sommerville in 1951. She died in 1971. He married Betty Ann Gustafson in 1974. He tested milk for Dairy-Herd Improvement Association before becoming a petroleum salesman for Bureau Service Company, where he worked for 38-plus years, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as treasurer and did maintenance work. He volunteered at The Closet in Princeton.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann; four children, Allen of Princeton, Ralph of Galena, Carl of Chillicothe and Doris Smith of Princeton; one stepson, Philip Jay Gustafson of Lake Villa; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was preceded by his parents; his first wife, Barbara; four brothers and two sisters.

Services are Friday at 10:30 at Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton. Cremation was accorded. A private burial will take place at Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton. Visitation is Thursday from 5 to 7 at the funeral home.
