Julia L. McCullough, 77, of Galesburg, formerly of Princeton, passed away from cancer on Saturday November 18th, 2017 at 2:22 AM at St Mary’s Medical Center-Galesburg with her children at her bedside. 
Born Jun 23, 1940 to Marion & Rena (Cross) Henkins in Lacon, IL. Julia graduated from Princeton High School in 1958 and married Elmer J. McCullough June 3, 1959. They later divorced, but not before having ten (10!) children.   
Julia is survived by 9 children: Diana McCullough, Denise (Dennis) Morris & Mary McCullough of Princeton. Susan (Bob) McCauley of Geneva, IL, Bill (Sheila) McCullough of Cedar Rapids, IA, Beverly Judge (Mark) Havel of Rolling Meadows, IL, Ryan (Michele) McCullough of Madison, SD, Cory (LeAnn) McCullough of Ridgecrest, CA, Matthew McCullough of Collinsville, IL.  
11 surviving grandchildren: Meriah Cruz, Colby Cruz & Dylan Morris of Princeton, Andrea (Jeff) Gertsen of Elburn, IL, Courtney (Mike) Denk of Houston, TX, Brandon (Niki) McCullough of Des Moines, IA, Tasha (Steve) Rostas of Palm Bay, Fl, Ryan Fowler of Rolling Meadows, IL, Christian McCullough of Madison, SD, Brittany, Austin & Molly McCullough of Ridgecrest, CA. 5 great grandchildren: Jordon, Jaxson, Harper, Lilly & Liam.  
Surviving siblings: DeEtta (Harold) Ireland of Sparland, IL, Jackie (Don) Krager of Amboy, IL and Jo Beth (Jack) Walstrom of Mesa, AZ. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Maggie, son Alan, sisters Peggy & Steffanie & brothers Marvin & Bob.
Julia was very active in her children’s lives as a homemaker, den leader and Sunday school teacher. Her children are eternally grateful that she taught them early on that the most important thing in life is knowing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 
Visitation will be held from 3-5 on December 2 at Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton. A celebration of life service celebrating Julia’s life will be conducted by Pastor James Nylander on December 2 at 5 PM at Norberg Memorial Home. Cremation has been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to North Central Behavior Health Systems.
