Obituary – Terrill Mares Vazquez

Terrill L. Mares Vazquez “Terri” passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana at the age of 72.
    Terri was born on August 26, 1945 to Lyle Arthur Pollock and Helen Gibbs Pollock Thorpe in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in 1963. Terri married Mitchel Mares in 1966 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton while living in Sheffield IL. Terri and Mitchel had three beautiful children, Todd, Shelly and David while living in Sheffield, Illinois. After Mitchells untimely death in 1973 she lived in Princeton for the next 15 years and raised her family. She moved to Cape Coral, Florida in 1987 and was employed as the Activities Director at Health Park Care and Rehabilitation Center in Ft. Myers Florida until she retired in December 2016. Terri found love again while in Florida and married Eric Vazquez in 2002. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, helping others, reading, morning talks with her beloved daughter Shelly over coffee and spending time with her dog Domino.
    She is survived by her husband Eric Vazquez – Cape Coral, Florida, one daughter Shelly Clark (Mike) -Valparaiso, Indiana, two stepsons; Ivan Vazquez (Laura) – Florida, Javier Vazquez (Crystal) – Florida, and one stepdaughter; Sylvia Vazquez (Emmanuel) – Florida, one brother Lee Pollock (Linda), and sixteen grandchildren; Eric Mares – Illinois, Mitch Mares – Colorado, Nicholas Clark – Indiana, Riley Clark – Indiana, Laura Ann Linquist – South Carolina, Madison Mares – Illinois, Molly Mares – Illinois, Ivan Vazquez – Florida, Lola Vazquez – Florida, Yadiel Cabeza – Florida, Melanie Cabeza – Florida, Emma Vazquez – Florida, Javier Vazquez Jr – Florida, Destiny Vazquez – Florida, Aaliyah Vazquez – Florida, Natalia Vazquez – Florida.
     Terri is preceded in death by; parents Helen Thorpe, Stepfather Wilbur Thorpe, father Lyle A. Pollock, husband Mitchel Mares, sons; Todd Mares and David Mares.
    Services for Terrill L. Mares Vazquez and her son David Mares will be held at the Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton, Illinois on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
