Lushin C. Perry, 101, of Tiskilwa, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017, in the Illinois Veterans Home, LaSalle.

A graveside service will be held in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in Marshall, Indiana at a later date. Arrangements are through the Fiocchi-Jensen Funeral Home, Princeton. Private online condolences may be left for the family at

Lushin was born on March 24, 1916 in Marshall, Indiana to Frank Charles and Esta Viola (Hockett) Perry. He had served in the United States Army in the 5th division of the 3rd army during World War II in the European Theatre of Operations having served under George Patton. He married Edith Hedwig Pupp on December 14, 1946 in Crown Point, Indiana. He had retired from Consolidated Freightways in 1993 and had worked for GTE of Princeton. He was a member of the Wyanet VFW.

He is survived by: his children, Priscilla (Dale) Ethridge of Tucson, Arizona, Allen (Donna) Perry of Tiskilwa, Deborah (Thomas) Towne of Dover, Wendy (Joseph) Strong of Lacon, and Fay (David) Youngquist of Tacoma, Washington; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Edith in 2005; 2 sisters, Othella and Martha; 1 brother, Clayton; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
