Corn and soybean farmer Jason Jaggers of Wyanet was recently selected as the “National Agronomy Week” sweepstakes grand prize winner. Jaggers and his agronomic support crew had the opportunity to attend NASCAR’s Chicagoland 400 race in Joliet.

During National Agronomy Week, farmers paid tribute to their agronomic professionals via social media. All participants were automatically entered into the sweepstakes to win the NASCAR race weekend of September 17th.

The DeKalb, Asgrow and DeltaPine brands launched National Agronomy Week as an annual observance the first week of April to promote appreciation for the support provided by agronomists, seed dealers and crop consultants. Farmers depend heavily on their agronomic support team to help maximize their success.

Agronomic team members accompanying Jaggers to the race were Chad Taylor, Jim Donnelly and Kyle Anderson.

Jaggers says it’s exciting to share the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with his agronomy team.
