The 46th annual Homestead Festival in Princeton this weekend is full of fun for everyone. The theme this year is “Home Sweet Home”.  Tonight the Homestead Festival announcements will be made, including the baby contest winner. Also tonight there’s a pulled pork barbecue dinner and ice cream social with the Princeton High School Choir and Madrigals performing at Soldiers & Sailors Park. They’ll be followed by local band Rodeo Drive’s concert on Main Street. The band Snap Shot will be performing at the Jaycees Beer Garden at Darius Miller Park.  Saturday features the parade, Underground Railroad 5K , window displays, children’s fun fair, a pie baking contest, tours of the Owen Lovejoy Homestead and Princeton High School, helicopter rides, a blues concert, bags tournament and a root beer float garden.
Sunday offers a pancake breakfast, a golf outing, flea market, car show, barbecue rib cook off, a petting zoo, children’s tractor pull, and a 50/50 raffle drawing.  A complete listing of the weekend’s activities can be found online at
