Elizabeth Ann Philhower, 91, of Ohio, IL passed away on July 12, 2017 at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton, Illinois.

Elizabeth was born on January 7, 1926 in Princeton, IL to Robert and Hazel (Corey) Mercer. She attended Princeton High School. Elizabeth married the late Calvin Philower on January 5, 1956 in Kasbeer, Ilinois.

Elizabeth was a homemaker and an active member of the Kasbeer Community Church, including teaching Sunday school. She enjoyed oil painting, writing poetry, bird watching, gardening, baking and Bible school. She was also active with Kid’s Klub, Home Extension, she was a Judge at the 4H Fair and a member of Good Sam’s Camping Club

Elizabeth is survived by one daughter; Diana (Jon) Gauger – Elmhurst, IL. Two sons; David (Cheryl) Philhower – Ohio, IL, John (Jane) Philhower – Ohio, IL. eight grandchildren, one step grandchild, fourteen great-grand children, four step great-grand children and one great great grand child.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (7-28-2006), one son Robert Philhower, one sister Betty Greenwood, one grandson Daniel Philhower.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Kasbeer Community Church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and services to follow at 10:30 at Kasbeer Community Church. Burial at Limmerick Cemetery, Kasebeer, Illinois.
