Loretta B. Staehler, 96, formerly of Chicago, passed away on February 3, 2017 at Contegra Hospital in Woodstock.

Loretta was born on June 24, 1920 in Chicago to Anton and Eleanor (Graczyk) Pienkowski. She married Claude Staehler Sr. in 1942, he preceded her in death in 1986. Loretta was happy being a school cafeteria chef and manager. She enjoyed interacting with the kids at school each day, but enjoyed her retirement years, as well. Loretta also loved to crochet and be with her family.

She is survived by her children, Corky (Debbie) Staehler, Jr. and Candace Staehler; her sister, Virginia (Henry) Gronski; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings, Eleanor Dudeck and Clem Pienkowski.

The Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10am-Noon at the Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton. Funeral services will take place following the visitation at 12 pm with Father Jeffrey Stirniman officiating. Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery in Wyanet, IL.
