Norman L Genslinger, age 88, of Malden, IL, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at the LaSalle Veterans Home.

Norman was born May 15, 1928, in Malden, IL, to Clarence and Marjorie (Howard) Genslinger. Norman was a Senior Customer Engineer for IBM from 1955, retiring in 1986. He was a graduate of Malden High School class of 1946. Norman attended the University of Illinois. He was a master gardener, enjoyed traveling and was an animal lover.

Survived by his wife Bridgett (McDermott) Genslinger; one son, Gregory (Laurie) Genslinger from Palos Park, IL; four grandchildren, John Genslinger; David Genslinger; Haley Genslinger and Ashley Leopold; and four great grand children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Marjorie (Howard) Genslinger; one son, Alan Genslinger; one grandchild, Carly Leopold.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 10a.m.-12p.m. at Norberg Memorial Home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 12 p.m. at Norberg Memorial Home, officiating John Gray, followed by burial at Oakland Cemetery.

Full Military Rights will be given by the Princeton Honor Group.
