New Bureau County Fair Royalty is Crowned

A young lady from Wyanet is the new Bureau County Fair Queen.  19 year old Hannah Shearburn outlasted 16 other contestants to take the top honor during the pageant held last night inside a packed Sally Skinner Council Auditorium at Princeton High School.  20 year old Felisha Brunson of Neponset is 1st Runner Up and 20 year old Brooke Hickman of Buda is 2nd Runner Up in addition to winning the Communications and Speech Award.  Queen Hannah also was voted Best Interview while 19 year Leanna Martin of LaMoille took Miss Congeniality, 19 year old Emma Bryson of Princeton was Miss Photogenic and 17 year old Nicole Holland of Princeton got the People’s Choice Award.  14 year old Haleigh Hall of Princeton was crowned Junior Miss Bureau County Fair, in addition to Miss Congeniality, Best Interview and Communications & Speech. 13 year old Anna Morton of Princeton was the 1st Runner Up and 12 year old Isabella Gross of Wyanet the 2nd Runner Up.  14 year old Katelyn Splitt of Wyanet was voted Miss Photogenic and 13 year old Alexandra Ryan of Walnut got the People’s Choice Award.  There were 12 Junior Miss Bureau County Fair contestants.  Little Miss Bureau County Fair is 6 year old Emilee Merkel of Princeton, with 1st Runner Up 7 year old Karsyn Brucker of Princeton and 2nd Runner Up 6 year old Gracelynn Hanson of Princeton.  6 year old Cadience Bickett of Princeton took the People’s Choice Award.  The Little Miss Pageant had a total of 21 contestants.  The 159th annual Bureau County Fair runs August 20th through the 24th at the Bureau County Fairgrounds in Princeton.
