William O Wolfe

The cremation for William O Wolfe, age 60 of Princeton, has been accorded through Norberg Memorial Home. A Memorial Service time and location for William Wolfe has yet to be determined and will be announced at a later date.

William O Wolfe passed away on Wednesday, Jun 11, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was born on Dec 24, 1953 in Princeton, IL to Ivan and Mable (Palmer) Wolfe. William attended Wyanet High School. On his 18th birthday he enlisted in the United States Navy serving on board the USS Forrestal for 3-years and then the reservses for another 3-years. Upon his discharge from the Navy he entered the workforce, first as a laborer at Bassicks in Spring Valley, then working 18 years at Motorwheel in Mendota where he became a member of the UAW. When the plant closed he went to Ultra Form in Dover, and finally settled at Van Packers in Buda where he retired from.

William was a loving husband and father marrying Rita Lynn Wolfe on Sep 29, 1972. He will be missed by his wife, children and friends. He was an active member of The Bureau County Christian Center. We was a member of the American Legion Post 125 in Princeton.

William is survived by his wife Rita Lynn (Shofner) Wolfe, 3 children Sherrie Wolfe of Peoria, Susan Sievert of Princeton, and Maria Wolfe also of Princeton, his mother Mable (Ivan) Wolfe, and 4 grandchildren. Surviving also are 2 brothers Stanley Wolfe of Washington, IL, and Kenneth Wolfe of Walnut, and 2 sisters Becky of Dixon and Emily.

He was preceded in death by his Father Ivan, his grandparents and 1 infant sister.
