Parker, Russ78 year old Irvin “Russ” Parker of Manlius died Wednesday morning at home.  He was born July 2, 1935, in Mound City to George and Nora (Buckles) Parker.  He married Beverly Faye Truedson on March 28, 1959, in New Bedford. She survives.  He was a graduate of Mound City High School and retired from North Western Steel & Wire in Sterling. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.  He attended New Bedford Christian Church.  Also surviving are one daughter, Ramona Culjan of Manlius; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded by his parents; one daughter, Terri Baker; two brothers, John and Lewis Parker; and six sisters, Rosemary VanMeter, Norma Doran, Virginia Claridie, Florence Harp, Martha Insco and Anita Parker.  Services will be Monday at 10 at New Bedford Christian Church. Burial will be in the Manlius Cemetery, with military rites conducted by Wyanet VFW Post 6634.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at the church.  Memorials may be directed to New Bedford Christian Church.  Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Manlius, is in charge of arrangements.
